Quilting is more than just a craft; it's a way to express ourselves through fabric. Recently, I decided it was time for this lilac floral quilt to go from a UFO to being finished. At first I was going to quilt flowers on it but it seemed like there were maybe enough flowers already on the fabric. Scroll down to see the pantograph I choose.

The time to quilt arrived, and I was filled with excitement as I am when looking at my canvas. I set up my longarm machine and loaded the quilt top, batting, and backing. Next I got the pantograph Summer Thyme Bee set up to get quilted. Each pass of the machine revealed bees drifting across the fabric, echoing their dance in nature. It felt as though I was capturing the essence of a garden buzzing with life. Due to the busy nature of the fabrics and my choice to use a thread that blends it is hard to see the quilting on the top but it gives a beautiful texture. The back on the other hand is where the quilting really shows through and you can see all the little bees buzzing around.
