New To Longarm Quilting?
Use this simple 5 step process to help you get comfortable with the decisions you need to make.
Step 1: Choose your quilting style
Would you like an edge-to-edge design or something custom?
Step 2: Select a Quilting Design
Take a look at the available designs here to get an idea of the styles I offer. If you're looking for something different, I'm happy to help source the right design. You’re also welcome to browse the following design sites. If you find a pantograph I don’t currently own, I’ll gladly split the cost with you to purchase it for your quilt. The Panto Shop, Urban Elementz, Intelligent Quilting, Longarm League
Search using terms like “pantograph” or “edge-to-edge (E2E)” to find suitable options.
Step 3: Thread Color Preferences
My default approach is to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is your quilt—if you have a color preference, just let me know.
Step 4: Batting Options
Do you already have batting, or would you like to purchase some from me? You can find details on the types of batting I carry and current prices on the Rates page.
Step 5: Backing Preparation
To ensure the best quilting results, please make sure your quilt backing is at least 8" wider and 8" longer than your quilt top. This allows a minimum of 4" margin on each side for proper loading on the frame. The backing can be larger, but not smaller.
Once you've reviewed the steps and made your selections, go ahead and click the Book a Quilt button below to get started.
I look forward to working on your beautiful project!
